Ichigo told Ishida to take Rantao away so that he could start his fight with Kariya. Kariya
starts out by using the Bount but than blows Ichigo away with his wind power. Ichigo gets up and attacks using Gatsuga Tenshou which destroys the first tower and part of another wall. Rantao and Ishida start on their way through Seireitei and run into Inoue and Sado and three modified souls. Hitsugaya and Rangiku arrive to find that Ichigo is fighting Kariya. The captain wants to help but Rantao tells him that it is a bad idea and the best thing for them to do is to re-seal the other Jaoukaishou.
